The immediate need of the Haiti people is food water and medicine. At this time clothes are not the immediate need BUT once the situation has begun to stabilize the people WILL need clothes to make up for what was lost. Hi I truly respect and admire all who want to help those affected by this horrific disaster. however it is very important that you understand the way things work when something this drastic occurs. the entire transportation system of haiti has been severely impacted. many people are without shelter water food and other necessities. access to medical care is extremely limited. it is hard to overly state the need for all types of assistance. nonetheless donating goods clothing food toys... Hi all... I too have clothes to donate for haiti relief. I spoke with one group here in los angeles who was accepting clothing donations but say they are full up and cannot take any more. as we all know the initial call was for money to help get medicine water food etc. to the people. I understand that now plans are underway to get other essentials such as clothing on its way to haiti. the woman at the organization in l.a. told me to wait a week or two and start checking with the larger... The relief organizations are still waiting to give information about about clothing because they are focusing on the bare necessities rescue water food tents etc .
