Please respond to PIH whose link was at the bottom of my first post. I just extracted the information from an e mail I had received. PIH is an admirable organization. Paul Farmer wrote the uses of haiti but he did so after many many years working in the central plateau as a dedicated health worker. I hope things work out.

PIH is an world renouned health care organization founded by Dr. Paul Farmer that has operated in Haiti s Central Plateau for decades serving the poor. My name is paul schleicher and I have been in the medical field for 17 years this year. I obtianed my lpn liscence in 1998. I have primarily been on the field with hospice and home health patients. Can travel within a week to Haiti. RN with over 20 year of nursing. Trauma critical care experience 15 years. Have passport had shots when I went to Haiti in 1980. Do they have to be repeated telephone 501 259 5858 Currently a community health nurse. Have years of hospital work as well.

i am a nurse and would really like to help in haiti i helped with the kosovo refugee airlift to canada and loved the chalange i feel so like i need to be in haiti can you tell me how to get there and help out i have had some icu experience or experience and i was an ambulance driver i love chalange and i can understand some french and have worked with translators before please let me know how to get to haiti

Hello I don t know if I m too late to apply there is no date on the post but I am willing and able to volunteer in Haiti. I am a certified lifeguard health care facilitator first aid ymca and search and rescue. I am in Washington but leaving from Portland would be more convenient Seattle works too though .
